Mornings made for success
I'm standing in the dining room, watching the sun gently ask for permission to enter and shed some light and warmth upon my house and me.
My daughter has just left for school, and I'm enjoying warm tea from a cup that carries the slogan "Do it with Passion!". And do it with passion, I will.
In my mind I picture my girlfriend, my businesspartner, and my one, true love - who, by the way, are the same person - and her son, who will soon be enjoying these mornings with me.
One word comes to mind - peace.
I'm at peace with myself, with the morning. And it dawns on me that this is exactly how I wanted my mornings to be like back in 2010 when I was asked how I wanted my life to be.
The main feeling that fills up my entire body and soul is gratitude.
I'm so fortunate to live here, to wake up like this. To have such a wonderful family, a job that brings me joy, and a dream that never fades. This is what it's like to be truly rich.
Thankfully, I have been able to bring back this feeling of gratitude - after all, gratitude is what saved me four years ago.
For the past two years, I haven't been able to work out much, so I decided to let my body get some exercise by talking a walk outside.
It may not sound like much, but for someone who has been sitting at his desk from 8 am to 9 pm almost every day for the last two years (with few exceptions), a walk in the morning makes a huge difference. The cold wind caressing my face, reminding me that a hot shower is waiting as soon as I step through the doors to my home again. No worries. No distractions. No limits.
I also just had an amazing idea for Josh Taylor's Prom Date, but I can't say anything about that just yet. For now, let's just say that spending the morning like this, peaceful, grateful, and filled with true happiness is what gets these ideas flowing. These are the mornings that are made for success.
